This British van was purchased by a friend in the UK in January 2020, already registered as a Camper, but with an outdated and very impractical design.

She really liked the look of my own van, so she asked me if I could do something similar with hers!

So, in February 2020 I flew to the UK, brought the van by ferry back to Spain, from Portsmouth to Santander, and started working on it!

The van had condensation issues due to poor insulation from the previous owner, and I was afraid there would be rust underneath...so the first thing I did was to disassemble the entire van completely down to the metal and treat that rust which we did indeed find, especially around the wheel arches.

This conversion took us only 19 days of work, a record time! And all thanks to the experience of my first project and knowing what mistakes I should not make this time.

Panelled in pine wood and with the contrast in white of some of the furniture, this van stands out for its spaciousness and practical design, especially considering its size.

This van belonged to my father, who used it for work, but one day he agreed to give it to me and help me with that crazy idea that had gotten into my head: "I want to convert the van into a campervan and go around the world with it."

As I mentioned in the first blog, it took a long time to do this first conversion, as I was working and living in England, and the van was in León, so I worked on it whenever I came home on holiday.

But in May 2018, the van was finally finished, and I was able to make my first long trip in it, driving from Leon to England, up through the west coast of France, and taking a ferry from Calais to Dover. That year I used it mostly on short weekend trips, but it was in July 2019 when I decided to leave my job in the UK and go to explore part of Europe in my Campervan!
